The Painted Lady Butterfly

Process

  • First, if you do not already have a copy of the Painted Lady Butterfly Information Booklet, you will need to print two copies of it (one for you and one for your partner). The attachment is below.
  • Before we begin, let us work together as a class and write down some things that what we already know about butterflies on our K-W-L chart.
  • Next, let us write down some things that we would like to know about butterflies on our K-W-L chart.
  • Now you can explore some of the websites below to help you answer the questions that are in your booklet and to figure out what Mrs. Lampert needs to buy at the store. While you are visiting the websites, if you find any of the answers to the questions that we wrote on our K-W-L chart, write them down in your booklet and we will discuss them later.

  • Then, each group will present their work to the class.
