Introduction
"Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it turned into a butterfly" ~UNKNOWN
Soon we will have some very special visitors coming to our class. Our very own caterpillars. Before they arrive we need to get ready for them and we do not have any supplies to take care of them. Mrs. Lampert is going to go to the store, but she is not sure what to buy. Can you help her out? As you visit the websites, you will learn all about the Painted Lady butterfly. You will learn about their life cycle, the parts of the butterfly, what they drink, what they eat, and even some cool, interesting facts. Once you are done, you will be able to help Mrs. Lampert figure out what she needs to buy at the store.
Tasks

You and your partner will work together and visit websites to research and learn more about the Painted Lady butterfly. As you visit the websites, you will learn about the butterfly's life cycle, what they eat and where they live. This information should allow you to help Mrs. Lampert figure out what she needs to buy at the store. Use your booklet to record what you discover. Once you are done with your booklet, you and your partner will work together and use Kidspiration to make a diagram of the Painted Lady butterfly's life cycle. Once everyone is done, each group will have a chance to present their work to the class. Have fun!
